March is all promises, promises while we’re probably feeling half-thawed and in that awkward stage before a growth spurt. The waters of March signal an energy shift from Pisces to ram-strength Aries. The wind kicks up with Fire Horse force. But here on the ground, it’s stuck-in-the-mud season, thrashing and slogging toward rebirth. April, come she will, but let’s first respect the groundswell that precedes change for the so-much-better.

Onward and Upward (from the Afterburn)

 On April 15th, we’re offering a happy diversion from tax day with the upside of burnout. Seriously!  Nikki Schultz and Claire Williams are certified executive coaches who have found new meaning in the seeming loss of purpose and direction. Using the framework of the Enneagram and Vertical Development, they will walk us through how “burnout” is a crucible to re-forge and energize one’s sense of meaning.  Our IEA Northeast Chapter is going through changes! As the Zoom-a-sphere of online offerings gets more and more congested, our Board has been seeking new ways to platform Enneagram exploration.

 Adair: PARENTING WITH PRESENCE with Valerie Tih was the first event to really turn my head around. I wanted to better understand (handle) the Ennea-types of my sons, but what I learned was how to parent my own type 4 defenses in action. Many of us who are drawn to learning about the Enneagram of Personality are accustomed to asking the question “Who am I?” If the goal of our exploration is to be more mindfully self aware, release ego based fears, and access the wisdom of all nine points, what more tangible outcomes are we anticipating, if any?  This year as we turn our attention to the theme, “Enneagram and Purpose” we are raising the question “Why am I?”
